ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Grade-I Police Constable seeking upgradation with retrospective effect on the date when his batchmates were upgraded as Grade-I Police Constable.

2. The petitioner has been granted with upgradation on 06.06.2019. However, it is the request of the petitioner that he should have been granted upgradation as Grade-I Police Constable with effect from 28.02.2018. To the said effect, the petitioner has sent a representation to the 3rd respondent herein on 10.10.2023. After sending the said representation, the present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus for such upgradation from 28.02.2018.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents brought to the notice of the Court that the representation of the petitioner, dated 10.10.2023 has been considered and the 3rd respondent has passed an adverse order as against the writ petitioner on 19.10.2023.

4. In view of the above said facts, the Writ Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the order, dated 19.10.2023, if he is so advised. No costs.
