ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 2nd respondent to issue the certified copy of Sale Deed Document No. 6644/1964 to the petitioner, pending on the file of 2nd respondent office within a time frame as specified by this Court.

2. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that in respect of the subject property, the petitioner has already obtained encumbrance certificate from the office of the Sub Registrar, Madurai South Joint-I, and the petitioner ought to have been applied for the certified copy of the Sale Deed Document No. 6644/1964 only before the Sub Registrar, Madurai South Joint-I.

In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to apply for the certified copy of the Sale Deed Document No. 6644/1964 before the Sub Registrar, Madurai South Joint-I, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such application, the Sub Registrar, Madurai South Joint-I, is directed to provide the certified copy of the Sale Deed Document No. 6644/1964 within a period of one week thereafter.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
