O R D E R

After submitting representation dated 31.07.2025 for amendment of the petitioner's deceased father-in-law's name in Patta Nos.386 and 466 as Vaiyapuri instead of Periya Vaiyapuri, the present writ petition has been filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner relies on the ration card and property tax receipt to assert that the petitioner's deceased father-in-law's name is Vaiyapuri and not Periya Vaiyapuri as erroneously recorded in the above mentioned pattas. In spite of submitting a representation seeking amendment, he states that no action was taken. 2/5

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. On the basis of written instructions, he submits that the UDR and 'A' Register record the name of the petitioner as Periya Vaiyapuri. Consequently, he submits that action has to be taken by the District Revenue Officer. He seeks twelve weeks time to consider and dispose of the representation.

4. Patta No.386 has been issued jointly to Chinna Vaiyapuri and Periya Vaiyapuri. Similarly, Patta No.466 has been issued jointly to Chinna Vaiyapuri, Periya Vaiyapuri and Sivakamatchi. The written instruction from the jurisdictional Tahsildar also mentions the names of the joint pattadhars. Consequently, it is necessary to put the joint pattadhars on notice before considering and disposing of the petitioner's application.

5. Subject to the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated 31.07.2025 after putting the petitioner and the joint 3/5
