Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to issue Birth Certificate to 19 adopted children forthwith and without any further loss of time in terms of the provisions of Adoption Regulation, 2022 on the basis of the applications filed by the petitioner before 2nd respondent. Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the corporation has not issued birth certificates to the 19 adopted children. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned standing counsel for the respondents 2 to 4 submitted that all the birth certificates as sought for have been uploaded in the portal. It is open to the petitioner to download the same and the same will carry the same value as that of hard copy. 2/4
4.The writ petition is allowed on these terms. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
