The instant writ petition has been filed by a Junior Inspector of Sericulture working in the Sericulture Department seeking a mandamus as against the respondents to consider his name for promotion to the post of Assistant Inspector of Sericulture by invoking Tamilnadu Industrial Subordinates Sericulture Rules.

2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, seeking the above said benefits, the petitioner has sent a representation to the second respondent on 04.05.2023. Since, the said request has not been considered by the respondents authorities, the present writ petition has been filed.

Considering the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.05.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of.
