Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned rejection order in Ref.No.IOC16898605684613, dated 01.03.2024 on the file of the respondent and quash the same and further direct the respondent to allot the petitioner a Petrol Pump in location site within 2 kms from Aasath nagar, SH Junction towards Pavoor Chathiram on SH-39, LHS Tenkasi District under open category after correcting the typing error in his email application regarding the petitioner's PAN number.

This writ petition has been filed challenging the order of rejection, dated 01.03.2024, thereby, the respondent rejected the application submitted by the petitioner for retail outlet dealership within 2 kms from Aasath Nagar, SH Junction towards Pavoorchathiram on State Highways 39, LHS Tenkasi District under open category.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. The respondent advertised the notification to establish a Petrol Pump at the site within 2 kms from Aasath Nagar SH Junction towards Pavoorchathiram on SH-39, LHS Tenkasi District. The petitioner applied through online and he was provisionally selected for the retail outlet dealership of the respondent. However, the application submitted by the petitioner was rejected on the ground that the PAN Card mismatch. Due to inadvertent, the petitioner wrongly stated that the PAN Card number. In fact, in the rejection order itself stated that the petitioner may make his representation on 11.03.2024. Accordingly, on 09.03.2024 the petitioner submitted a representation stating that there was a typographical mistake committed by him while annexing the copy of the PAN card and stated the correct PAN card No. 2/4

AHDPS3206N. However, sofar, the respondent failed to consider the application and it is pending.

In view of the above, the respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 09.03.2024 thereby categorically stated about the typographical error committed while filling up the PAN number by annexing the PAN and pass orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
