Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to release/hand over the petitioner's car bearing Registration No.TN 45 AT 1010 seized and detained by Police Officials on 06.08.2025, return the vehicle and consequently grant compensation for its illegal detention based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.09.2025. ORDER

The petitioner has sought for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to hand over the petitioner's car bearing Reg.No.TN 45 AT 1010, which, according to her, was illegally seized by the police officials on 06.08.2025 and not produced before the Court and consequently, to grant compensation for illegal detention.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the vehicle has now been produced before the learned Magistrate.

3. In view of the aforesaid submission, the Writ Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to file a petition for return of vehicle before the learned Magistrate concerned.
