O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed to quash the order passed by the third respondent herein on 21.01.2021, wherein the request of the writ petitioner for granting compassionate appointment has been rejected.

2. The petitioner's mother, who was working as a Community Nutrition Instructress had passed away on 20.06.2006. The petitioner has given an application seeking compassionate appointment on 10.06.2009. Under the impugned order dated 21.01.2021, the same has been rejected by the third respondent with a vague reason that the rules do not provide for granting compassionate appointment, without specifying the Rule or the reason for rejecting the request.

3. Considering the above said facts, the order impugned in the writ petition is set aside and the matter is remitted back to the file of the third respondent. The third respondent herein is directed to pass a reasoned order. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
