This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the second respondent to conduct fair and impartial inquiry and to dispose the petitioners appeal No.5507/2024 dated 11.09.2024 regarding to cancel the patta No.1631, 1636 and 1640 issued by the third respondent in connection with landed property in S. No.42/2 for an extent of 4 acres and 50 cents, Kothangulam Village, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the second respondent would conduct and conclude the inquiry after putting the petitioner and all other necessary parties on notice and would pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer to conduct and conclude the inquiry on merits and in accordance with law after providing an opportunity to the petitioner, the private respondents and all the necessary parties and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
