ORDER

The writ petition had been filed challenging the order of the first respondent under the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

2. When the writ petition was filed, the Food Safety Appellate Tribunal was not constituted, but however as of today, the same is functional. Hence, the petitioners are directed to file an appeal before the Food Safety Appellate Tribunal on or before 30.01.2025. If such an appeal is filed, the Appellate Tribunal shall not insist upon the period of limitation, as the petitioners would be entitled to have the benefit of Section 14 of the Limitation Act, 1963.

3. With such liberty, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
