ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Special Grade Conductor, who attained superannuation on 31.05.2019. The petitioner's Commuted Value of Pension was disbursed by the authorities only in the year 2021 after a period of two years from the date of superannuation. Hence, the petitioner has sent a representation on 22.02.2023 to the second respondent herein seeking interest for the belated disbursement of the terminal benefits.

2. In view of the above said facts, the third respondent is directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% interest for the belated payment of the Commuted Value, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above said observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
