O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2022 sent in connection with the disbursal of his service benefits inclusive of the payment of interest to be given for his provident fund relating to his service worked as Tap Inspector at the office of the 1st respondent as expeditiously as possible within the time to be stipulated by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was working as Tab Inspector in the 1st respondent Corporation and he retired from service on 31.05.2015. However, a meagre amount was paid by the 2/5

respondents as payment of interest to the provident fund. For payment of balance amount, he made a representation to the respondents, on 07.07.2022. But, till date, no order was passed. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the respondents are directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 07.07.2022, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 07.07.2022 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of 3/5

this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
