ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial 1/3
custody on 25.12.2022, for the offence punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(c), 25, 27A and 29(1) of NDPS Act, in Crime No. 299 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.
3.It is seen from records that the earlier bail petition filed by the petitioner was dismissed on merits by this Court and this Court has also fixed a time limit for completion of the proceedings.
4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the case is now posted for examination of the Investigation Officer. 5.Considering the earlier orders passed by this Court and considering the fact that the case is already at the verge of completion of trial, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. This Court had earlier granted two months time for the completion of the proceedings. Considering the stage of the case, the time is extended for a period of one month for the completion of the proceedings. 2/3
On completion of proceedings a report shall be filed before this Court by the learned Trial Judge.
