Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents not to interfere with the petitioner's peaceful possession and enjoyment of the lands to an extent of 0.41.5 Hectares in S.No.299 of Chettiyarpatti Village, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District.

ORDER

The petitioner sought for patta for the land in S.No.299 of Chettiyarpatti Village, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District and has filed this writ petition directing the respondents not to interfere with the petitioner's peaceful possession and enjoyment of the property. 2.Learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's request for grant of patta was rejected by the Tahsildar on 01.09.2009 itself. He further submitted that the land in S.No.299 measuring an extent of 0.41.5 Hectares is classified as Government Poromboke - 2/4

Nandavanam, as per the UDR Register and stands registered in the name of Mugavur Satriyar Kammavar Sangam, as per the Natham Settlement Adangal.

3.In view of the specific stand taken by the respondents, this writ petition stands dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy before the appropriate civil Court by filing a suit. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. Index :
