O R D E R

The writ petition is filed for Writ of Mandamus for a direction to the first respondent to issue joint patta in Old S.No.12/2 and new S.No.12/2B to an extent of 4.23 Acres at Melamathur Village, Maduai West Taluk, Madurai District as per the Revenue Board Standing Order No.19 in favour of the petitioner and her family members by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 24.05.2017

2. The respondents even in the counter at Paragraph No.10 stated that the petitioner's application for grant of patta, dated 24.05.2017 was rejected vide proceedings of the fourth respondent in Letter No.2776/2016/B, dated 18.08.2017.

3. The petitioner received the copy of the counter on 09.11.2017, and inspite of the specific statement made by the respondents, did not choose to amend the prayer in the writ petition to quash the rejection order.

4. As the respondents have already rejected the request of the petitioner for issuance of joint patta on 18.08.2017, the prayer in the writ petition has become infructuous. The writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. In any event, liberty is given to the petitioner to challenge the rejection order, dated 18.08.2017, if advised. No costs. Consequently, the miscellaneous petition is closed.
