ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to declare election in Madurai Goripalayam Muslim Melakara Jamath Association after conducting General Body https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD) No.13097 of 2017 Meeting among the Jamath Members as per the Jamath Association Bye law and by considering the petitioner's representation dated 29.06.2017.

2.When the writ petition was taken up for hearing, the same was passed over to ascertain as to whether the writ petition survives or not. Thereafter, when the matter was called, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

3.The learned counsel for the official respondents submits that the writ petition has become infructuous. It is further submitted that earlier in the connected writ petition in W.P.(MD) No.9308 of 2018, the petitioner had requested this Court for withdrawing the writ petition and accordingly, the said writ petition was dismissed as withdrawn. It is further submitted that general body was elected on 17.12.2018 and on this count also, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed.

4.Recording the submission of the learned counsel for the official respondent, nothing survives for further consideration in this writ petition, this writ petition therefore stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
