ORDER

Mrs.J.Padmavathi Devi, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to issue death certificate to the petitioner's forefather and grandfather, namely, Theertha Konar and Chinnaiaya Konar respectively based on the representation of the petitioner dated 02.04.2019.

4. The case of the petitioner is that he made a representation to the first respondent on 02.04.2019 seeking death certificate of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.27127 of 2019 his forefather and grandfather, along with relevant documents. Based on the said representation, an enquiry was conducted on 21.05.2019 and the petitioner has also appeared in person along with documents. Thereafter, the second respondent was directed by the first respondent to conduct an enquiry and submit a report. Pursuant to the same, the second respondent has also conducted an enquiry and submitted his report to the first respondent. However, no order is passed till date and hence, this writ petition.

5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.04.2019 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
