Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the Respondent Nos.1 to 3 to provide necessary and adequate police protection to fence the 1/4

property situated in S.No.150/3, T.S. No.8, Block No.10, Ward B, Kodaikanal, Dindigul District based on representation dated 30.08.2025. ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to fence the property, which is said to be in occupation of the petitioner, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 30.08.2025.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the eviction notice has been issued by the Tahsildar as against 12 persons, who are said to be in illegal occupation of the property.

3. This Court is of the view that the respondent Police cannot grant any protection as prayed for. If the petitioner is aggrieved by any interference of 2/4

any third party, it is needless to say that the appropriate remedy would be to approach the Civil Court.

4. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
