ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner applied to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kumbakonam, for issuance of patta. It was rejected by a proceeding dated 28.06.2023. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner moved the District Revenue Officer, Thanjavur. The grievance of the petitioner is that till date, it has not been taken on file.

3. The petitioner has produced materials to show that the petition mentioned property was purchased by him vide sale deed dated 19.01.2018 (Doc.No.147 of 2018) from his vendor. The petitioner's vendor would trace his title to a Court auction purchase. 2/4

4. The first respondent is directed to take the petitioner's appeal on file and dispose of it on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of the receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With this direction to the first respondent, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
