The petitioner, seeking Mandamus for survey of his land in Kodaikanal Survey No.Ward ''D'', Block 18, t.S.No.8, Plot No. 8/301 and Plot No.8/302 has filed this writ petition in the year 2017. 1/4

2.Today(29.01.2024), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent Municipality submits that due to certain objections raised by one S.Arulmary Rani, the survey has not been conducted. 3.Considering the rival submissions made, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Survey Officer to conduct an enquiry under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923 after issuing notice to the adjacent land owners, particularly to the said S.Arulmary Rani and thereafter shall conduct the survey. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
