ORDER

This petition has been filed to quash the case in C.C.No.27 of 2013, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumayam, Pudukkottai District.

2. Though the learned counsel for the petitioners raised several grounds for quashing the case in C.C.No.27 of 2013, he submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the trial Court to complete the trial within a time limit that may be stipulated by this Court and also to permit the petitioners to raise all the grounds raised in this petition before the trial Court.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the State would submit that the chief examination is over and the case is posted for cross-examination of PW1 and PW2 on 27.12.2017 and cross-examination of all the other prosecution witnesses are over.

4. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the State.

5. In the light of the above said submissions made by both side counsel, without going into the merits of the case, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumayam, Pudukkkottai District is directed to complete the trial in C.C.No.27 of 2013, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
