This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned order dated 14.07.2016 passed by the second respondent rejecting the petitioner's request for granting approval for the appointment of R.Baskar made by the petitioner to the sanctioned post of Lab Assistant from the date of the appointment ie., 31.05.2016. 2.It is now brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents that subsequent to the filing of this Writ Petition, the appointment of one R.Baskar made by the petitioner has been approved by the second respondent vide proceedings dated 12.01.2024 and salary payable to him from the date of his appointment has also been paid. 2/5

3.Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that still there are arrears of salary due and payable to R.Baskar. 4.Since the prayer sought for in this writ petition has been achieved, as the second respondent has approved the appointment of one R.Baskar, this Writ Petition is disposed of. However, it is made clear that if still arrears of salary is payable to R.Baskar, the second respondent is directed to pay the arrears of salary to him within a period of four [4] months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
