The petitioner has challenged the rejection of the proposal seeking for approval of the appointment of the petitioner.

It is now brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, approval was given for the appointment of the petitioner to the subject post and since the relief sought for in this writ petition has been achieved, nothing survives for further adjudication. 2/4

3. After recording the statement made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, this writ petition is disposed of as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
