Joint patta No.470 was issued in the names of Mani Pillai, Murugan and Chinnappan. This was in respect of the property bearing survey No.7/1 of an extent of 96.50 ares. Subsequently, a partition deed was executed by and between the above mentioned joint pattathars. Pursuant thereto, the petitioner applied for subdivision and separate patta. Since such request was not acted upon, the present petition has been filed.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3. He submits that the petitioner's request would be considered and disposed of on merits after putting all interested parties on notice.

3. In view of the said submission, it has become unnecessary to issue notice to the fourth respondent in this Writ Petition. Instead, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's request for subdivision and joint patta after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, the fourth respondent and any other legal heirs of Mani Pillai. This exercise shall be concluded within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
