ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner / accused apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 147, 294(b), 323, 379(NP) and 506(i) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 in Crime No.129 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 1/3

2. The case of the prosecution is that due to wreak vengeance the petitioner herein and other accused have unlawfully assembled and attacked the defacto complainant with deadly weapons. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and his name has been falsely implicated in this case and hence, he seeks anticipatory bail.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner is arrayed as A1 and he is a History sheeted rowdy and hence, he strongly, opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the serious nature of offence committed by the petitioner and also the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 2/3
