Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorari, to call for the impugned Government order dated 05.12.2016 under Reference G.O.Ms.No.882 passed by the 1st respondent making an Ad Interim Attachment on the immovable property of the petitioner bearing Plot No.7, T.S.No.203/1 measuring to an extent of 2400 sq.ft situated at Gandhipuram North, Karur District and subsequently quash the same in respect of the petitioner as illegal and devoid of merits.

ORDER
The challenge in the writ petition is with regard to the order of attachment of the properties belonging to the petitioner.
2. Pending this writ petition, it had been communicated that the Finance Company had compounded the offence by making payment of the entire amount due to the depositors. In view of the same, the Competent Authority/District Revenue Officer, Karur had addressed a
letter to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Home (CourtsXIX) Department dated 13.09.2024 to cancel the impugned Government order herein.
3. In view of the specific communication, no further adjudication is required to be made in this writ petition. However, there shall be a direction to the first respondent herein to pass appropriate orders on the communication issued by the third respondent in Rc.D4/405/2017, dated 13.09.2024 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
