O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to incorporate the petitioner's name as R.Abdul Rahman, in accordance with the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Notification, dated 03.07.2013, in the Service Register of the Petitioner.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Assistant Professor in the third respondent College, in the year 2008. The petitioner's original name is R.Ramprasath and he converted to Muslim Religion and changed his name as Abdhul Rahman and the same was published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Notification, dated 03.07.2013, vide S.No.1922. But the said name change was not incorporated in the service register. Hence, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondents on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.14458 of 2017 15.07.2017. However, till date no order was passed. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the second respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 15.07.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 15.07.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
