2. The petitioner is presently working as Health Inspector Grade-I, Primary Health Centre, Kallandhiri, Madurai. He wants to be deputed as Food Safety Officer. He has given representation in this regard before the 1st respondent.

3. The 1st respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law. An appropriate order shall be passed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. I leave it to the discretion of the 1st respondent.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
