ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner and his family members for conducting their joint family prayer in the house of the petitioner at Door No.2-59A, Vannanvilai, Mancode, Thickanamcode Post, Kanyakumari District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has been conducting prayer meetings in his house without disturbing anybody and that the second respondent has been harassing them.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the third respondent, the Superintendent of Police, 2/4

Kanyakumari District has issued a memorandum to the Inspector of Police, Karungal Police Station to take necessary action in this regard and that on the basis of the said memorandum, the second respondent has issued a summons to the petitioner to appear before them, but he has not turned up.

5. At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is ready to appear before the second respondent.

6. Recording the submissions made on either sides, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent and on such appearance, the second respondent is directed to proceed with the enquiry in accordance with law.

7. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
