The present Writ Petition has been filed by a retired Executive Engineer seeking a Mandamus for payment of interest for the delayed disbursement of GPF amount of Rs.15,81,760/-.
2. Seeking the above said benefits, the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents on 05.08.2024. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent. 2/5
4. Considering the above said facts, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.08.2024, in the light of the Government Order referred to by the writ petitioner in his representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
