2. The petitioner seeks cancellation of the assignment patta issued in favour of the private respondents.

3. An appeal is presently pending before the second respondent. The second respondent is directed to pass final order on the said appeal petition on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. The second respondent will hear not only the private respondents but also the other interested persons before passing final order. It is open to the second respondent to pass order one way or the other. All the contentions of the writ petitioner are left open.
