PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to sanction the family pension in favour of the petitioner as per the pension proposal dated 22.08.2024 and settled the entire arrears of pension with interest within stipulated time fixed by this Court. O R D E R

The instant writ petition has been filed by the wife of the deceased employee of the respondent Transport Corporation seeking family pension, as per the pension proposal dated 22.08.2024.

2. As per the contentions in the affidavit, the petitioner's husband, who was working as a Conductor had attained superannuation on 26.03.1998 and he had passed away on 26.11.2000. However, the request of the writ petitioner for grant of family pension has not been considered. The third respondent has sent a proposal to the second respondent on 22.08.2024. So 2/5

far the proposal has not been considered by the second respondent. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents 2 to 5.

4. Considering the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to pass orders on the pension proposal forwarded by the third respondent on 22.08.2024, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
