Respondents PRAYER:- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to grant permission for conducting new year celebration to be held on 01.01.2020 at about 08.00 a.m., to 09.00 p.m., in Tamil Baptist Primary School Ground, Kunjakkulam, Thiruvengadam Taluk, Tenkasi District based on the representation dated 12.12.2019 submitted before the third respondent.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks permission for conducting new year celebration to be held on 01.01.2020 at about 08.00 a.m., to 09.00 p.m., in Tamil Baptist Primary School Ground, Kunjakkulam, Thiruvengadam Taluk, Tenkasi District based on the representation dated 12.12.2019 submitted before the third respondent.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

police is willing to consider the request of the petitioner, if the petitioner changes the place of celebration.

4. In the above circumstances, since the respondent police is willing to consider the request of the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, the petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the second respondent by changing the venue. On making such representation, the respondent police is directed to consider the same and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, forthwith.

5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
