O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the first and second respondents to conduct a survey and measurement in respect of the land with an extent of 18 1⁄2 cents, located in Survey No.520/1G5, Kovilammalpuram Village, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District and to issue the survey report to the petitioner within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court and consequently, direct the third respondent to provide adequate police protection for the survey.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the materials available on record.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 and 2, submitted that all the relevant facts, including the pendency of the civil suit, will be 2/5

taken into consideration by the first respondent and that the petitioner's online application will be considered and disposed of in accordance with law.

4.In view of the above submission, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the online application dated 29.08.2025 after conducting an inquiry, which shall include issuing notice to the petitioner and to adjoining land owners who may be affected and considering any objections submitted by them. The first respondent shall thereafter pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the same shall be agitated before the competent civil court. No costs.
