Prayer: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the contemnor / 2nd respondent herein under the Contempt of Court Act for willful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 30.01.2017 passed in W.P.No.1370 of 2017.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble G.R.Swaminathan J.) The petitioner herein filed W.P.(MD)No.1370 of 2017 for directing removal of the encroachment in S.No.1420/1. Vide order dated 30.01.2017, the authority was directed to remove all the encroachments. Pursuant to the said order, the authority concerned issued the eviction orders. They were challenged in a batch of writ petitions and interim order of status quo was granted. Therefore, the authority was unable to take consequential action.

2. Today we have dismissed all those writ petitions. Hence, there is no impediment for the authority concerned to take further action in the matter. 2/4

The learned Additional Government Pleader informs the Court that all the eviction orders will be enforced within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. Recording the stand of the respondents, the contempt petition is closed.
