ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Sections 498(A), 294(b), 506(i) and 406 of IPC r/w Section 4 1/3

of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 in Crime No. 16 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and the defacto complainant are husband and wife. It is alleged that the defacto complainant was treated with cruelty and there was also a demand for dowry. There are totally six accused persons in this case and the petitioner has been arrayed as A1. 3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent. 4.Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering that matrimonial dispute is involved in this case and custodial interrogation may not be required in this case, the respondent Police is directed to follow the procedure adumbrated under Section 35 of BNSS Act. 5.Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of with the above direction.
