ORDER

******** (Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH, J.) The order of a coordinate Bench, dated 10.08.2017 in W.P(MD)No.6963 of 2017, was a direction to the second respondent to continue the enquiry and take further action in accordance with law in the matter of misappropriation of funds allotted for construction of toilets in Thambipatti Panchayat, Vathirayiruppu Union, Virudhunagar District.

2. Alleging willful disobedience of the aforesaid order, dated 10.08.2017, the present contempt petition has been filed.

3. Today, when the matter was called, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the contempt petitioner has expired and no steps have been taken to substitute his legal heirs. He further submitted that the proceedings initiated by the Department of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Department, has been dropped in

G.O(D)No.338, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj(E2) Department, dated 31.12.2020.
