PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to provide Police protection to life and limb of the petitioner and her family members from the respondents 3 to 7 and to ensure the petitioner and her family members to live in their houses at their village. For Petitioner :Mr.R.Murugappan For Respondent :Mr.R.M.Anbunithi Additional Public Prosecutor O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to provide Police protection to life and limb of the petitioner and her family members from the respondents 3 to 7 and to ensure the petitioner and her family members to live in their houses at their village.

2. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that on the basis of frequent trouble, a complaint was given by the petitioner, stating that she was brutally attacked on 06.10.2023. Based upon which, a case in Crime No.422 2/4

of 2023 was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 324, 427, 506(ii) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002, against the respondents No.3 to 7. Even after that they are making frequent trouble, after coming out on bail, pressurizing the petitioner to withdraw the said complaint. On that basis, the present complaint has been given by the petitioner for providing Police protection.

3. Considering the grievance expressed by the learned counsel for the petitioner, let the said complaint be disposed of on its own merits, by summoning the petitioner as well as the private respondents, within fifteen days from the date of appearance of the parties. If any trouble arises, during the course of enquiry, the petitioner can workout her remedy through appropriate proceedings.

4. With the above said direction and liberty, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
