O R D E R

By relying on a registered sale deed dated 26.08.1975 bearing document No.1525 of 1975 and a registered settlement deed dated 09.09.2004 bearing document No.3207 of 2004, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 15.07.2025 to the jurisdictional Tahsildar seeking a patta in respect of the land in Resurvey No.1545/8. Because the said representation did not elicit a reply, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the relevant land has been wrongly classified as 'Sarkar Poramboku' and has been used by the petitioner for a considerable period of time. Therefore, he submits that the petitioner is entitled to a patta.

3. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. He submits that an inquiry is being conducted by the 2/4

Sub-Collector and that orders would be passed within twelve weeks on merits.

In view of the above submissions of learned Government Advocate, without making any observations on the merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the jurisdictional Revenue Divisional Officer to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 15.07.2025 on merits within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner. No costs.
