ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 07.11.2016 within a time frame.

2.In the representation of the petitioner, the petitioner stated that the Panchayat Secretary of the Kumbaram Panchayat has encashed certain cheques by forging signatures of the petitioners and therefore, action should be initiated against the Panchayat Secretary, by name Appas Kumar.

W.P.(MD) No.1654 of 2017 3.Considering the limited scope of the prayer and the fact that the respondents have not yet disposed of the representation of the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation, is inclined to allow this writ petition with the following directions:

The second respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry, after issuing notice to the petitioners and the Panchayat Secretary referred to in the complaint. The second respondent shall submit the enquiry report to the first respondent. The first respondent, thereafter, shall pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving opportunity to the parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the report from the second respondent.
