ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to provide police protection for the petitioner's life and limb at his cost and to provide adequate police protection for ensuing the free and fair election to be held on 27.12.2019 in Melpaniyur Panchayat, R.S. Mangalam Union at Thiruvadanai Taluk.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (crl. Side) would submit that it is the duty of the respondnets to provide adequate protection for ensuring the free and fair election. She would further submit that, if the petitioner approaches with his representation proper enquiry would be conducted and necessary protection will be given to the petitioner. The statement is recorded.
