O R D E R

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition has now become infructuous for the following reasons:

a) This Court by its interim direction dated 05.09.2017 directed the respondents to permit the petitioner to participate in the written examination by accepting the petitioner's application. Learned Counsel for the petitioner on instructions would submit that despite the said interim direction, the petitioner was not allowed to participate in the written examination by the respondents. b) For the disobedience of the order dated 05.09.2017 passed by this Court, the petitioner chose not to file any Contempt Petition against the respondents.

c) The petitioner is now aged 35 years and the age limit for the post of Assistant Inspector of Sericulture is 30 years and admittedly, the petitioner has crossed that age. d) The notification under which the petitioner participated in the selection process pertains to the year 2017. 2/5

2.For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 10.09.2024 Index :Yes / No Internet : Yes / No NCC : Yes/No MR 3/5
