The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to issue Hindu Malaivedan (ST) Community Certificate to the petitioner and his sister Preetha in the light of the recommendation of the third respondent through the communication dated 28.01.2019 immediately within a time frame.

W.P(MD)No.27293 of 2019 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given representation seeking for issuance of Community Certificate on 13.10.2018. However, the second respondent has not considered the same yet.

3.Mr.VR.Shanmuganathan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the second respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 13.10.2018 in the light of the recommendation of the third respondent dated 28.01.2019 within a time frame. 4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, we direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 13.10.2018 in the light of the recommendation of the third respondent dated 28.01.2019 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
