PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of certiorarified mandamus to call for the records relating to the proceedings issued by the fourth respondent in Rc.No.4856/L1/2016 dated 22.04.2016 and to quash the same and consequently directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner to the post of Lecturer in Commerce based on the selection list dated 17.06.2009 issued by Teachers Recruitment Board in the light of disposal of Writ Petition in W.P.Nos.23574 and 24015 of 2008 dated 10.06.2014 with all consequential and other attendant benefits, including arrears of salary, on par with other persons selected based on the same selection, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Prima facie, this Court finds that the relief sought for in this writ petition would have become infructuous, since the petitioner challenges his exclusion from being appointed to the post of Lecturer in Commerce, which pertains to the year 2009.

2. This writ petition is listed today under the caption "for dismissal". On the last hearing date i.e. on 13.08.2024, there was no representation on the side of the petitioner. Today, learned counsel for the petitioner is present. However, he seeks for an adjournment. This writ petition is of the year 2017. No further indulgence can be shown by this Court.
