[Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to conduct enquiry and cancel the patta issued in favour of respondent Nos.5 to 9 in the vacant land in Survey No.248/1 situated at Kakkanji Colony, Therkutheru, Melur Taluk, Madurai District within a stipulated time.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 4, has brought to the notice of this Court, the communication received from the District Collector, Madurai, dated 04.11.20222, informing that vide proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur in Ni.Mu.No.7927/2022/A1, dated 21.10.2022, the patta granted in favour of respondents 5 to 9, was cancelled.

3. In view of the above said proceedings, dated 21.10.2022, issued by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur, no further adjudication is necessary in this writ petition. Hence, this writ petition is closed. No Costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.

4. It is for the respondents 5 to 9, to challenge the cancellation of patta, if they are aggrieved.
