Heard Mr.D.Senthil, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 5 and 7 and Mr.A.Shajahan, learned Standing Counsel for the 6th respondent.

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, seeking direction against the sixth respondent to reimburse the medical bill of Rs.8,22,758.47/- after deducting the amount of Rs.2,52,749.00 as already paid to the petitioner on the basis of the application forwarded by the seventh respondent vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.2584/2023/P.Tho. 20.09.2023 in a time bound manner.

3. The petitioner is said to have spent a total sum of Rs.8,22,758.47/- towards the treatment taken by her for C18.7CARCINOMA SIGMOID COLON E11-TYPE II DIABETUS MELLITUS. The grievance of the petitioner is that she has been sanctioned only with Rs.2,52,749.00/-, despite she has spent a sum of Rs.8,22,758.47/-. The petitioner claims that she is covered under New Health Insurance Scheme, 2021 and she has not been given with the maximum eligible amount as per the scheme. In this regard, the petitioner preferred a representation 07.09.2023 to the sixth respondent seeking for medical reimbursement. In pursuance thereof, the seventh respondent vide proceedings dated 20.09.2023 has directed the fifth respondent to process the petitioner's claim for reimbursement. Since no 3/6

action was taken, the petitioner approached this Court by way of filing this Writ Petition.

4. In case, the petitioner has got the above grievance, she is at liberty to file an appeal before the District Level Empowered Committee and work out her remedy as per the scheme.

5. Since the petitioner has given a representation and the same is pending without any disposal, the fifth respondent shall consider the petitioner's claim for reimbursement and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, including the advise if any given to the petitioner to approach the District Level Empowered Committee.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
