ORDER

The petitioner has submitted an application dated 14.07.2017 to the 3rd respondent, seeking to give electricity service connection to her house situated at Perunchunai Village, Illupur Taluk, Pudukkottai District. She has also submitted a representation dated 07.08.2017 to 2/5

the first respondent. Since there was no action on the said application, she has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus directing the respondent Board to effect electricity service connection.

2. When the writ petition was taken up for hearing on 01.02.2024, there was no representation for the petitioner and therefore, the writ petition was directed to be listed today under the caption "For Dismissal". Even today, there is no representation for the petitioner.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 submits that the petitioner seeks electricity service connection for a Government land. Therefore, the petitioner was directed to produce the relevant records. Since the petitioner has failed to produce the relevant records, her application for electricity service connection was rejected.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent also submits that the subject land is a Government poramboke land.

5. In view of the said submissions, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
