ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide electricity connection to the petitioner's house constructed in Survey No.237/12C1, situated at Seyyamangalam Village, Kamuthi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, within a time frame.

2. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

3. Though this Writ Petition is of the year 2019, the respondents have not filed any counter affidavit so far.

4. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents is unable to confirm whether during the pendency of this Writ Petition, electricity service connection was given to the petitioner or not.

5. Considering the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition and considering the efflux of time, since the filing of this Writ Petition was on 19.12.2019 and also considering the fact that there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner, I am of the view that Page No. 2 of 4

it is likely the petitioner may have got the electricity service connection from the respondents. Be that as it may, I direct the respondents to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner, if the electricity service connection has not already been provided so far to her house.

6. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above observation. No costs.
