Respondents PRAYER :-This Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and police protection conducting the 16th day of Kodai festival in Sri Thatchan Kallathi Madasamy Temple (Clan Deity) situated at Vannikkonenthal, Manoor Taluk, Tirunelveli District is scheduled to be held on 16.09.2025, on the basis of the representation of the petitioner dated 01.09.2025.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to grant permission and police protection to conduct the 16th day of Kodai festival in Sri Thatchan Kallathi Madasamy Temple, situated at Vannikkonenthal, Manoor Taluk, Tirunelveli District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2025.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's request cannot be considered and an order rejecting the petitioner's request would be communicated soon.

3. The respondents are directed to forthwith communicate the decision taken on the petitioner's representation. If the petitioner is aggrieved by any decision taken by the respondents, it is open to him to challenge the same in manner known the law.
