This writ petition has been for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection to the petitioner's life and limb based on his representation dated 21.10.2023.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the complaint given by the petitioner was enquired by the second respondent and it was closed by proceedings dated 17.11.2023. A copy of the same was also placed before this Court. 3.The learned counsel for the respondents 3 and 4 submitted that they are the tenants in the property and that the respondents 3 and 4 do not intend to cause any threat to the life and limb of the petitioner. 2/4

4.In the light of the specific stand taken by the respondents 3 and 4, the apprehension raised by the petitioner is sufficiently answered. Hence, recording the submission of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondents 3 and 4, this writ petition stands disposed of.
